About Me

I am an occupational therapist, retired from a Senior Lecturer role within a UK university.  I remain passionate about how what we do affects how we feel and the importance of engaging with roles, routines and occupations that hold integrity and positive meaning for us.

Personally I am married, no children but there are always dogs that need love and care. I am a trained Reiki practitioner with a particular interest in Reiki for animals. I am also an amateur hedge-witch, an avid reader (with an obsession with Diana Gabaldon's Outlander books to name a few) and an aspiring "creator" using words, flowers, paper, yarn, charms and fabric.

I have a piano, a tenor recorder, a Native American flute, a model railway in the attic,
a sewing machine, an array of scrapbooks/diaries and a collection of wizards, fairytales and folklore- I don't get enough time to spend with these at all.

I write, mostly poems and the odd blogpost. I also dabbled with a Youtube channel  where I am a sporadic creator - maybe one day I will commit to one thing!

A recently renewed Facebook group for readers to share book recommendations, thoughts, lists, in fact anything book related: Beyond The Book

Welcome to my blog - please feel free to comment on any of my posts. Enjoy!!..............
